Bringing OM Into Feng Shui

My path to Feng Shui began the way many meaningful things do: quietly, and long before I understood where it would lead. Around the time my youngest was born, I stumbled across a Feng Shui coffee table book. Life moved on. I changed homes, relationships shifted, but that book always stayed with me.

For 20 years, I was a flight attendant, travelling the world a week at a time. I’d come home and have tea with my father, who I was very close to. Growing up in a spiritual Indian family here in Vancouver, I was raised to pay attention to energy and intention. My father loved hearing about my travels, and I’d share my growing fascination with Feng Shui, the shifts I was noticing in the homes of family and friends. He was the one who encouraged me to take it further. I lost him ten years ago, and I truly feel he’s been my guardian angel ever since.

So I did take it further. The more I explored, the more I was drawn to Classical Feng Shui, the authentic, methodical tradition rather than the popular shortcuts. I trained with the International School of Feng Shui, based in Ireland, completing my in-person training in San Diego. It was a series of detailed case studies spanning homes, home offices, and commercial spaces, each with its own energetic challenges. Later, I was one of just seventeen practitioners to study for a month in China, immersed in the place where Feng Shui lives and breathes, where I earned my advanced certification.

A few months after I returned, the world shut down and I was grounded. I took it as a sign. I gave the work everything I had, putting in long days building my practice from the ground up. When the call came to return to flying, I said thank you, but no thank you. I packed away my uniform after a good 20-year run, because I knew this was my calling. That was more than six years ago, and I haven’t looked back since.

Fluent in five languages, I connect with clients from many cultures and backgrounds. I’ve worked with clients across South America, England, Croatia, India, Singapore, Thailand, throughout the U.S. from coast to coast, and of course Canada. I give my virtual consultations exactly the same depth and care as my in person clients in Vancouver or Toronto. Distance makes no difference to the work. One client in New York told me I knew their home better than they did, and we’d never set foot in it together.
